Suggestion of Agency Model for the Chronic Diease

Abstract

|
The growing old-age population and changing life styles inevitably lead to a higher incidence of hypertension, angina, diabetes mellitus, hyper-lipidemia and cerebro-vascular disease. At present it is possible to monitor patients’ blood glucose level, EKG and even auscultation sound on a daily or regular basis through PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) which connects the patient´s computer to that of the doctor. In case of emergency, GPS (Global Positioning System) can be used to make the patient´s medical record instantly available to the emergency staff so that proper treatment may be initiated. This paper makes the following suggestions: To study the role of and preconditions for an “Agency system”. To assess the implementation of such an “Agency system“ and its consolidated management.
